The awarding of scholarships is based on academic achievement and potential, not on financial need. No separate scholarship application is necessary, and academic scholarships are normally awarded within three weeks after acceptance (except for Belk Scholarships which are awarded in January). These awards are renewable in subsequent years when the expected GPA requirements are maintained. In addition to these scholarships, students may qualify for other scholarships and/or need based financial assistance.
