Description
We meet 100% of every admitted student's demonstrated financial need through grants, scholarships and guaranteed campus work without the need for loans. Last year, more than half of the entering class received an average student aid award of more than $50,000.
Washington and Lee awards both merit scholarships and need-based aid. All W&L merit scholarships are awarded through The Johnson Scholarship application, so only one application is needed.
W&L also provides need-based grants to students whose families demonstrate financial need. Eligibility for these grants is based on an assessment of the family’s income and assets.
