University of Texas-Arlington - Maverick Leadership Scholarship

Our Maverick Academic Scholarships are for solid performing incoming freshmen with demonstrated academic success. The Maverick Academic Scholarships range from $2,000 to $8,000 per year and may be renewed for up to three additional years. The awards vary based upon individual student profile; the stronger the profile, the higher the award.
UTA is test optional for the 2021-2022 academic year and so is our scholarship model. Therefore, we will only consider a student’s test score if it will improve their scholarship award. Students are offered the highest scholarship value they are eligible to receive based on their academic credentials and available funds.
