General merit-based scholarships and other scholarships available from the university. Merit-based scholarships are awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and are only awarded upon admission to the University. Your admission application is the application for the scholarships. Awarded based on superior academic achievement, test scores, leadership, service, talent, and other personal qualities irrespective of financial circumstances. The Diversity merit-based scholarship is awarded based on superior academic achievement, test scores, leadership, service, talent, and other personal qualities. Generally reserved for underrepresented students who have financial need. All of our NCAA Division I sports have scholarships except Football and Men's Rowing. Students are automatically considered for any of the endowed or private yearly scholarship listed in the USD Undergraduate Bulletin for which they are eligible when they apply for financial aid at USD.
