Description
UGA awards merit-based scholarships to entering first-year students based on academic merit, superior test scores, evidence of leadership, and outstanding accomplishments outside of the classroom. Approximately 5% of the entering first-year class is awarded a merit scholarship. These scholarships can be in addition to the HOPE scholarship. Admissions application must be in by Dec.15 to be considered for merit scholarships, some awards have application deadlines of Nov. 15. Additional scholarships available based on leadership, diversity, ethnic group, etc.
