Due to a generous endowment from Charles Garland Johnson, Sr. and his family, the UNC Study Abroad office is offering an opportunity to apply for a scholarship to offset the cost of a summer, semester, or year long Study Abroad program. First consideration will be given to students with demonstrated financial need from Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties, followed by students from the remaining North Carolina counties with demonstrated financial need. No preference will be given to a student's major, class level, or chosen Study Abroad program. These awards were created to enable those UNC students, who would not otherwise be able to afford this option, the opportunity to participate in Study Abroad programs. To apply for one of these scholarships, submit your "Application for Study Abroad Scholarship" found on your Status Page to the Study Abroad Office by September 23, for Spring programs.
