North Carolina American Water Works Association and the North Carolina Water Environment Association (NC AWWA-WEA)- Carol Bond Scholarship
Description
The Carol Bond Memorial Scholarship was created by the NC AWWA-WEA in cooperation with employees of the City of Raleigh, NC. This scholarship is to commemorate the late Carol Bond and her life-long devotion to environmental education. The applicant must be either a high school senior accepted for enrollment or a current community college student enrolled at a North Carolina community college. The applicant must be pursuing a degree in Environmental Science Technology program; Water or Wastewater Sciences or Water Resources Management concentrations. Applicant shall be a U.S. citizen. Applicants must submit the following items in one package to NC AWWA-WEA: Official application form. Official letter of community college acceptance or current college enrollment status (1 copy). Two letters of recommendation from professors, employers, or academic advisor. Each letter shall be limited to one page and shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with referee’s signature on the flap. Typed or legibly written essay (500-750 words) that discusses why you should be a scholarship recipient. Check back on website in January for the new application.
