National Foundation for Advancements of Arts Young Arts Scholarship

Description

You must be a high school senior in the current school year. (High school juniors of any age are NOT eligible, but may apply in the spring of junior year for the next year OR If you are NOT enrolled in high school, you must be 17 or 18 years old on December 1 of the current year. Proof of age will be required. You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the US. A copy of your permanent resident card is required. The cost for registering to the YoungArts program is $35 per category. There is a $10 discount for registering early. Requirements vary for each category; review the specific requirements carefully. Each year, 20 of the YoungArts Finalists are named U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. At the request of The Commission on Presidential Scholars, which is appointed by the President of the United States, National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, through its YoungArts program serves as the exclusive nominating agency for U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Scholarships can be used at any college or university. Registration open from March to October each year.
