Miami University (in Oxford, OH) - several scholarships available

Description

Miami has a limited number of special scholarships which are automatically awarded to students who meet the award criteria. For the remainder of our general scholarships, all students who apply for admission by January 31 and are admitted to Miami University are considered for the many general scholarships we award to incoming freshmen; no separate application is required. Most scholarship recipients have scored 30 or better on the ACT (1320 on the SAT I - CR & M) and rank in the top 10% of their graduating class. To help simplify your admission process, Miami University does not require a separate application for our general freshmen scholarships. Students who wish to apply for the Harrison Scholarship must apply for admission and also submit the Harrison Scholarship application by November 3. In addition to the scholarships awarded by the Office of Student Financial Assistance, many academic departments award scholarships to students enrolled in their major fields, and the Office of Student Affairs awards scholarships through the Scholar Leader Program. Also, as a Division I, institution Miami offers athletic scholarships to students who participate in intercollegiate athletics.
