The Harrison Scholarship is the only scholarship at Miami that requires an application in addition to the University Admission Application. Admission into the Honors Program is both competitive and comprehensive. Students typically have outstanding academic records, and are reveiwed for multiple academic and contextual variables including leadership, class rank, critical thinking, extra-curriculars, fiversity, writing ability, commitment to social service, special talents, etc. Honors I / Harrison Scholarship applicants applying for the Nov. 3 deadline, who plan to major in ARCHITECTURE, ART, ART EDUCATION, GRAPHIC DESIGN, INTERIOR DESIGN, MUSIC, MUSIC EDUCATION, MUSIC PERFORMANCE, OR THEATRE need either an audition, audition tape or portfolio scheduled or submitted by Dec. 1
