Louisiana Tech University - Bulldog Out-of-State Scholarship - 4 categories
Description
Incoming Freshmen – Category A
(First-time in college after high school graduation)
Must be admitted.
ACT 23, or 1130 new SAT (ERW+M), or 1050 old SAT 1050 (CR+M – pre 2016 test date) – any test date before enrollment, and
2.5 Overall GPA (on a 4.0 unweighted scale), and
Do not need remedial English and/or Math. Must have a minimum 18 ACT English, or 25 SAT Writing and Language, or 450 SAT Critical Reading (pre 2016 test date). And, a minimum 19 ACT Math, or 500 new SAT Math, or 450 old SAT Math (pre 2016 test date).
Retention of this scholarship requires full-time enrollment (8 or more credit hrs. per quarter), and a cumulative and quarterly GPA of at least 2.00.
Transfer and Enrolled Students – Category B*
(Students with at least 12 semester hours of college credit, including dual enrollment hours)
Must be admitted with completed transcript(s) on file.
Minimum of 12 semester hours of college-level credit, and
Cumulative 2.75 GPA on college credit hours, and
Do not need remedial English and/or Math. See the last bullet under Incoming Freshmen above, or have taken courses equivalent to college-level English and college-level math course.
Retention of this scholarship requires full-time enrollment (8 or more credit hrs. per quarter), and a cumulative and quarterly GPA of at least 2.00.
*Alternate category for incoming freshmen with dual enrollment or other transfer hours.
Special Categories
Category C
Students whose parent(s) graduated from Louisiana Tech University are treated as in-state for tuition purposes. The parent information section of the application for admission should be completed.
Category D
Non-resident students who enroll in 6 or fewer credit hours per quarter are treated as in-state for tuition purposes.
