Louisiana State University - several scholarships available
Description
Most of the scholarship programs are competitive and are awarded based on standardized test scores and a six-semester, weighted high-school GPA, calculated based on the core courses required for admission to LSU. Additionally, students are considered for Louisiana resident scholarships or non-Louisiana resident scholarships. Additional scholarships look at leadership and other special situations and can be found by clicking on "Qualification and Awards" on the webpage indicated. The online Admissions Application also serves as the application for entering freshmen scholarships, and must be submitted along with an official high school transcript, standardized test scores, application fee and any other required documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students must be admitted before being considered for scholarships. Some colleges offer departmental scholarships to entering freshmen. Contact the department of intended major for information.
