The purpose of the Nursing Scholarship Program (NSP or Nursing Scholarship) is to provide scholarships to nursing students in exchange for a minimum 2 year full time service commitment (or part time equivalent), at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. Scholarships are awarded competitively, and consist of payment for tuition, fees, other reasonable costs and a monthly support stipend. To be eligible for a scholarship, by the application due date all NSP applicants must be: A U.S. citizen or U.S. National; and Lawful Permanent Resident; Enrolled or accepted as full or part time student in a nursing degree program (associates, from one of the following: An associate degree, collegiate or diploma school of nursing in the US includes the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Territory of Guam, the Territory of American Samoa, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia).
