Elon Teaching Fellows
Description
Students committed to education and have distinguished themselves as leaders. Students who have a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Students who have a combined SAT score of at least 1850 (28 for ACT). The Fellows application can be found online at www.elon.edu/fellows. Study abroad at the School of Education Center at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Fellows complete two
education courses, one of which includes a five-week, full-time teaching placement in a local school.
Work with a faculty mentor on research investigating a problem or question related to your field of study. Fellows and faculty publish and present shared research.
Spend two Winter Terms engaged in domestic study experiences that will broaden your perspective and complement
your education studies.
Tutor in local schools, participate in retreats and common readings with your cohort, attend academic seminars and take field trips to innovative schools.
