East Carolina - various scholarships available
Description
Scholarships are an excellent way to help fund your education, as they are gifts of money that do not require repayment.
Through generous donations of alumni and friends of the university, ECU is proud to award scholarships to students who have achieved academic success, and demonstrated talent and leadership. The university also has scholarship opportunities available to those that prove the need for financial help.
ECU has scholarship opportunities for:
Incoming freshmen
Transfer students
Current students
There is a separate application process for scholarships, and they are awarded by the Office of University Scholarships. The deadline for most university scholarships is January 15, and we recommend that you apply to ECU no later than December 15 in order to be admitted in time to apply for scholarships by the January 15 deadline.
In addition to university scholarships, we also encourage you to apply for private scholarships. Tips to begin your search include:
Ask your high school guidance counselors for a list of available scholarships.
Ask if scholarships are available at your parents’ places of employment.
Check with your local civic, religious and community organizations.
Search for scholarships with companies that offer employment to graduates of your intended program of study.
