Requirements vary depending on scholarship; some of the scholarships specifically target minority students. All scholarships target students planning to study atmospheric science or related oceanic and hydrologic science; some require membership in the AMS to be eligible. Transcripts, test scores, letter of recommendation required. Students must include, with a completed application form, an official high school transcript showing grades from the past three years, a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or guidance counselor, and a copy of scores from an SAT or similar national college entrance exam.
